Ultimate Solutions USA will create 30 jobs in Gahanna

Ultimate Solutions USA, a global company specializing in validation, serialization, industrial automation and compliance for the life science industries, has expanded to central Ohio.

Based in Puerto Rico, with offices in Madrid and Louisville, Kentucky, the company made an initial investment of $300,000, with the goal of providing 30 well-paying jobs, for which hiring has already begun, in Gahanna.

The engineering company, which serves the biomedical, pharmaceutical and medical device industries, leases 5,700 square feet of office and warehouse space at 845 Claycraft Road.

The area is mostly comprised of industrial and tech/flex space, with well-established small and medium-sized businesses in a variety of industries, including food, engineering, logistics, and other related fields, said Dan Pearlman, spokesman for the town of Gahanna.

On August 29, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved an 8-year tax credit of 1.639% for Ultimate Solutions USA for creating $4.05 million in new annual payroll by December 31, 2025, according to the agreement.

As part of the tax credit agreement, the authority requires the company to maintain operations at the project site for at least eleven years, the agreement says.

On July 25, the city of Gahanna expressed support for the proposed project, the tax authority noted.

“Through a site selection process, Ultimate Solutions chose the Columbus area for its new facility in partnership with JobsOhio, One Columbus and the City of Gahanna,” said Tom Stipkovich, senior project manager at One Columbus. “The Columbus area’s growing life-science industry, availability of skilled talent, and opportunity to expand its market access are key reasons they chose Gahanna.”

With the expansion, Ultimate Solutions is deepening its national roots, expanding its market access and investing in tenant improvements, as well as construction, IT and training costs, according to information from the city of Gahanna.

“When establishing a truly resilient local economy, it is important to not only identify existing sector partners to help grow them, but also to recruit complementary businesses to continue to expand into new sectors,” said Nathan Strum, the city’s director of economic development. “The addition of Ultimate Solutions USA further strengthens Gahanna’s position as a home for small and medium-sized industrial companies in the ever-evolving life sciences sector, while helping to develop complementary skills within the city’s STEM-ready workforce.”
